Meet our Faculty:Mr. Andrew Danner - Principal/Teacher
Hello! I am the new teacher and principal at Salem
Lutheran Church and School. This past spring I graduated from Martin Luther
College in New Ulm, Minnesota. (MLC is the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod’s
school of ministry.) Immediately following my graduation I received the divine assignment to serve as teacher and principal at SLS.
I attended MLC for five years which allowed me to
graduate with a double major in Elementary Education and Secondary Education.
In the spring semester of 2010 I student taught 7th and 8th
graders at St. John’s Ev. Luth. School in Sparta, WI, under Mr. Timothy
Mueller. Then in the spring semester of 2011 I student taught high schoolers at
Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI, where I taught World History,
Algebra 1, and Consumer Economics.
During my college years I competed on the soccer and
baseball teams. My other interests include watching sports, outdoor activities,
and working out. I have lived my entire life in Minnesota where I attended
Lutheran elementary school and high school. This daily exposure to God’s Word
helped me see the extreme advantage of Christian education in the life of a
child. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and teens. They are a blessing
from God and deserve every opportunity to succeed. Every day brings new
challenges as well as rewards in the teaching field. I am extremely excited to
join the ongoing ministry at Salem Lutheran. I am eager to work in our Lord and
Savior’s service as he sees fit.
